Sleep Apena, how can it be treated ???

Dear Marilyn,

How is a sleep test done, perhaps it is available only in developed countries, my doctors never recommended me anything like this, I am very sure I have the sleep disorder or sleep apena, and have been using antidepressant (Amytryptiline) and sleeping pill (Clonazepam) together since 3 years. My doctor prescribed me these 2 meds saying that the normal sleeping pill alone does not help in my case and that is why a mixture of 2 is needed.

I also dream of going drug-free one day, but impossible, that might do more harm than good esp for those with high BP, as high BP is a silent- killer, so even if I stop other meds , I can never stop the high BP med.Not necessarily. One thing I strongly recommend to anyone dealing with high blood pressure and/or high cholesterol is to have a sleep test. Hidden sleep apnea can cause both of these things. And when the sleep apnea is properly treated, the blood pressure goes back down and often, the cholesterol normalizes, too.
