Guest guest
Okay, now I'm becoming a pain....sorry. Randy has had low blood sugar happen four nights this month. It's that whole losing 10% and preparing for Tuesday's upcoming surgery. I've had to call nurse advice in Panorama City twice because I couldn't get it to come up fast enough to not scare me. Tonight it dipped and we had just tossed out most of the food to make room for his clear liquid stuff post surgery. Now comes the question.... Most of you have said sugar made you dump, feel freaky, and like that.... did any of you have this low blood sugar thing going on? His diabetic doctor only stopped the Prandin and insulin. He is still on a truck load of other meds, glucophage, actos, and others, but the doc said not to stop those yet. His A1C was 5.7 so things are well under control. But after surgery, while he is on clear liquids, what in the world should I do? Buy sugary Popsicles? sugary Jello? in addition to the sugar free stuff? I hate when this happens he scares me to death..... soaking wet, lethargic, just scary. Please let me know what you think, I will be asking UCLA and Kaiser on Monday!!!!!! Thanks!
