Hi Pam,

When I has my C-sections, I put a little vaseline around my staples if

they got too bad. The itching means they are just about ready to come out,

so you just have to grin and bear it somewhat. But the vaseline did help,

the reason they itched was because the skin was dry around them. If you try

the vaseline, make sure your incisions are not open, you don't want to get it

inside of you. Hope this helps!

Neosporin is also a good choice, and it will help prevent scarring. I've

been using it and one of my incision has almost disappeared!

DON'T try pulling them out without the tool. I tried pliers, hemostats, and

tweezers. Ouch. Then I got the tool, and they came right out in less than a

minute! It was so easy, I couldn't believe it. And it didn't hurt at all.

Good luck!

Amy.

Hi,

When I took out my staples I used needle nose pliers and tweezers.

The first four came out pretty easy but the number five was

difficult. I had an infection underneath that one and I was sweating

bullets from the pain. I used the pliers to bend up one end and then

I could ease out the staple with the tweezers. I left mine in too

long though because they had started to adhere to the new skin

growth. Hope this helps!

Hi!

You get a little disposable sterilized staple puller in a packet from

the hospital if you just ask for it.

It looks similar to a small, handsize set of pliers, but the end

grips

the staple in the center and sort of bends it upward, so you can then

lift it out of the skin, one side at a time.

It is not in the least painful, so long as you don't yank on the

staple. Since it's your meat, presumably, you won't do any yanking.

:)

Kind regards,

You need a surgical staple remover. It is sterile. Now some people maybe

using something else. If you have a friend who maybe a Nurse or MD that can

get you a staple remover. and you use it just like the one to remove staples

out of paper. of land
