I'm looking at various websites regarding Candex and not getting clear answers

about this. Is Candex legal for candida treatment? If not, then what should I

be taking other than following the SCD program?

and it appears (pretty clearly) that I have candida. Is Candex a legal

supplement for us to take on the SCD? If not, other than doing SCD, what

product can I buy that will help kill off this yeast?

had the " typical " symptoms. This could very well be why my IBS is not clearing

up.

If I remember correctly, both Candex and Candizyme, as long as there

aren't any illegals, are fine.

I just checked some of the websites discussing Candex, as it has been 5 years

since I last looked at the ingredients. There is some concern, as two of the

four ingredient lists I looked at included rice flour or rice bran. This is not

helpful while on SCD -- but there may be variations on the type of Candex

available and ingredients. This happens with a lot of supplements; some are OK

and some have illegals depending on the brand and formula. Check the labels

carefully if you decide to give it a try.

I wouldn't touch it now, and didn't touch it back when I started SCD and was

dealing with a candida overgrowth at the same time as dealing with functional

digestive disorders. I had to tweak SCD to move it into a more drastic candida

elimination diet, because I had uncomfortable symptoms related to the candida

overgrowth, and wanted to get relief sooner.

It is common to have a candida overgrowth accompanying digestive disorders and

slow digestive motility.

You may want to also research antifungals along with candida elimination diets.

There are two prescription antifungals most doctors suggest (Diflucan,

Nystatin). And there are several natural antifungals that help, such as coconut

oil, garlic, oil of oregano, and some others.

In my opinion and experience, food choices do the most for eliminating candida.

Takes time though. Sticking to SCD 100% helps the most, as one of the main

candida trigger foods, starches, is eliminated.
