Guest guest
One story on the site was about a guy from Fishers, Indiana, just a few miles from me. He died of a cardiac arrhythmia, later determined to be sarcoidosis, which is the first time his family had heard of it. His family & friends sponsored a charity golf tournament to celebrate & honor him, while raising money for sarc research. This sounds like a great idea to me (I'd rather not have to die first!). It could be golf, bowling, whatever. Often these projects start small & then snowball. I know a local bowling alley has a "Bowling for Babies" event every year for a maternity home. I'm thinking "Strike out the Sarc Monster!" Or a softball tourney, "Sarcoidosis--3 Strikes & Yer Out!" This is actually sounding like a real possibility to me. I lean toward bowling, because pretty much anyone can do that, even little kids, and also it's much cooler inside a bowling alley. If we could manage to coordinate events in several cities, especially the larger cities, that might generate some media interest. Any ideas or thoughts? My family has all worn them. I still wear mine and have a lot of people ask about KISS on it. This is a quite good site.~~~~ *** ~~~ *** ~~~ *** ~~~~The Neurosarcoidosis CommunityNS CHAT:- Has been cancelled for now.Message Archives:-http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Neurosarcoidosis/messagesMembers Database:-Listings of locations, phone numbers, and instant messengers.http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Neurosarcoidosis/database
