Hi ,

I am so sorry to hear of your accident. My daughters and I were in a

pretty nasty head-on collision last fall and I am VERY lucky I wasn't

hurt worse! Hopefully your recovery will progress smoothly and you

will be able to keep your consult date.

Something for you to double-check on. I believe the Family Medical

Leave Act allows for 12 weeks in a 12 month period. Unless you have

already used some of this time, you should have up to 12 weeks, not

8. Since this is a Federal law, it should be the same regardless of

which state you live in or which company you work for (provided your

employer has at least 25 employees).

If you are eligible for the full 12 weeks, you should be able to take

a few weeks now to get back on your feet and still have plenty of

time saved up for post-op if you need it. Hope all works out for

you. We are so glad you are back with us. We'll keep you in our

thoughts and prayers.
