Angel Report on Barbie day 2

Hi,

Just got off the phone with Barbie, her number is . Her day has not been the best. Her stomach is swollen and nothing is passing through (same thing happened to me and about 15 hours later they repeated the test and showed contrast in my bowels and no leak). She vomited out her ng tube (almost out). It was in the back of her throat tickling and gagging her. So, the nurse said hold on let me go call someone. Well, Barbie was not going to sit there and gag on it anymore. So she pulled it out. So, now she is NPO again. Dr Ren did not get all excited about it but just explained why it was there. Barbie kept telling everyone it was coming out every time she coughed or whatever and they would just tape it some more. An inch here and an inch there and it was not really in her stomach anymore. Barbie did not know that all you have to do is ask for something for nausea and she would get a shot. So all you pre-ops listen up: ASK! Make sure you get something for nausea BEFORE the leak test. Whether you are nauseated or not. lol

Well, this afternoon, one of the residents came in and asked Barbie what happened with her ng tube. And she told him. He got all mad and started yelling at her and Barbie said hold on wait a minute I do not even know who in the hell you are. Lets start over here, I am Barbie, and you are? She stuck her hand out to shake his hand and he refused. So, she told him off. She is having a companion tonight as she has only had one nurse that has been any good to her. Sure wish she was on the 13th floor like I was, instead she is on the 11th floor.

Any of you New Yorkers, if you can get a chance she will sure need some TLC. She will probably be in the hospital till Sunday and maybe even Monday.

While I was on the phone, I asked Barbie is she had heard anything about Jane (joemeetsjane@...) and she told me that her surgery lasted 3.5 hours and is doing fine. That is all I know about Jane. Does anyone know if Jane has an angel? If anyone from the group goes to visit Barbie don't forget Jane!!!!!!!!!!
