Guest guest
The grass is always greener on the other side! And in the case of the SCD that is true! Carol CD 21 yrs SCD 4.5 yrs From: BTVC-SCD [mailto:BTVC-SCD ] On Behalf Of smdsmom2008 When I was just starting SCD, I felt so weird eating with the rest of my family. Now my daughter has gotten into my food. She takes my muffins in her lunch and loves stewed apples. She tried the zucchini soup made from the recipe Misty posted, and loved it. Now she is asking me to make more of " my " food for her!!

Guest guest
My daughter loves " my " food too. I think because it's all homemade, slow cooked, and full of flavor. She is always asking for chicken soup, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, steak, fruit salad, and a few other things. She gets mad if I cook for me and don't make her some at least to try. Tis a great thing =) Glad you liked the zucchini soup. I have a few more recipes I'm going to be posting soon that come out really good. Guest guest
Marilyn, was your husband flying? I ask because a diabetic friend told me her last trip the homeland security people took all her legal food and told her if she wanted anything she had to buy it in the shop there, even though she said that was all junk and she couldn't eat it. If your DH managed to take decent food on a plane I'm wondering how he did it! Also, if I might change the subject. I want to give a report on how I'm doing and ask a couple of questions but I can't figure out how to start a new topic. I know this is probably VERY dumb! The only thing I can find is going into Reply on the Web, and then starting a new subject??? My husband was leaving on an overnight trip. I kidded him that he would be able to eat anywhere he wanted, and wouldn't have to hassle over finding safe food. He asked me to pack a bag of SCD food for him to take with him because it tasted so much better than anything he could get enroute.
