Guest guest
Remicade is not painfull, did not lose my hair, it was a miracle. I took mine at a cancer center. Bunch of recliners sitting around. There was tv, coffee ,snacks and outdated magazines. My advice is pack you a tote bag, crochet, mags, snack and something to drink. Unless your crochet causes the Iv to kink up it won't be a problem, there was people doing it when I was there. They have to time the remicade infusion so I was there longer than when I took the cytoxan. They will probably give you benadryl IV before the remicade, it is suppossed to help keep down a reaction. The benadryl can make you extremely sleepy, so have someone take you or be prepared to sleep it off. There was always somebody napping in a recliner because of some kind of medicine when I went, even me a couple of times.LOL The only thing I ever felt when taking it was a mild menthol type sensation around my eyes. Caution though, if after taking it you start having a lot of pain or just fell REALLY bad, get thee to a hospital. Can't remeber if I answered all your question but will be happy to answer anything I didn't. Eloda
