Rose,

Very true, and what a wise women she was. Everything we do matters,

even if it's just a smile or a thank you.

Rose many days you are my smile, I love your sense of humor, and the

way you handle life, with a positive attitude, even when life gets

rough, you are there with warm fuzzes for us.

You are a blessing to this group.

hugs and blessings,

Marla

Marla, I read somewhere, maybe it was Mother , that we are not here to do extraordinary things, but to do the everyday, ordinary things in extraordinary ways. Remembering that helps me put out my best effort when I think it really doesn't matter.

HI Kim,

so good to hear from you, I'm sorry you are still in pain and still getting

new blisters, not fun! Yes, the head pain decreased after increasing the Mtx back up, but now got a

cold, and you know how hard they hit us, for the first time in long time, I

took the whole day off, and spent most of it in bed, I am having trouble

sleeping lying down, but that's the cold, as soon as this is gone, things

will be better. and Yes One day at at time is all any of us can do. I've done a lot

spiritual reading, and something really struck me and stuck in my heart. We

are here to leave each day as Christ did, and each day is just one day

closer to living eternal life with the Father, (no pain, no disease). So each day I try to be thankful, and praise the Father, and know I am one

day closer. Funny but that has really put meaning to my life. I was always

thinking, well it's Friday another week gone, and here we go again, and

again. But that is just what we are here to do, live each day, but live it

as Christ would, and share the good news, that one day we will be with our

Father, without pain, and we will all meet, and be thankful that we were

always there for each other, I know I am blessed and thankful each day for

all the wonderful friends I have made here. I love you all, now take care

of yourself, and get well. My prayers are with you, that each day will be

easier and the burden will be lifted, so that you can enjoy the life you

have here with your kids. hugs and many blessings,

Marla

Marla, you'll never know what that means to me, when I'm thinking nothing I do makes a difference. It reminded me of something that happened about 30 years ago. I was working at a hospital in Dallas and having a bad day. I don't remember what was going on, but I was just really down. I was going through the cafeteria line when a lady brought a fresh tray of food from the kitchen. I met her eyes & she smiled a lovely, friendly smile! It immediately changed my mood. I'd never seen her before & never saw her again, but I never forgot how just a simple smile has so much power. I'm sure the ripples spread far beyond the hospital, because I know I was extra nice to the other nurses, the patients, families, even the doctors. It was like I was on a high! (Well, actually I don't know that. I'm one of the supposedly rare baby boomers who never tried drugs.) But we all know how an unpleasant encounter can sour our mood, causing us to maybe be a teensy bit rude to someone else, and so on. Well, as usual, a novel to make a small point. Anyway, thanks, Marla.
