Guest guest
I have made yogurt in a Yogourmet maker for 5 years. I became painfully lactose intolerant pre-SCD. I have never had a lactose reaction to the yogurt in 5 years. Granted, I have not tried any dairy (other than yogurt) to test if I am still lactose intolerant, but, so far so good with the Yogourmet (and I do not use a dimmer switch – if the water temp. seems too hot I just crack the lid to help some of the extra heat to escape). This has been my experience. Carol CD 21 yrs SCD 5 yrs From: BTVC-SCD [mailto:BTVC-SCD ] On Behalf Of Jodi Was Elaine aware that the yogurt overheats in the Yogourmet? I really think every single SCD site should have a disclaimer that a dimmer switch should be purchased. It is a shame that all of our hard work gets destroyed. I don't know if the bacteria implants properly.. with that said I don't know how many people would know if they had issues with their yogurt since so many SCD'ers eat dairy. Even if the yogurt over heats, how much lactose do you think is left?
