Guest guest
Hi. I was wondering if anyone has had back pain post-op. The pain is on the left side by the bottom part of the rib cage. I asked my surgeons office about this and the nurse said it has something to do with the position they put you in during surgery. I still aches now 11 days post-op and I cannot get in touch with my surgeons office. They never call back even though I have been leaving messages since Friday at 6 am (I also have other questions for them about meds). I am a little concerned about this throbbing back. The percoset doesnt even help. Thank you for any help. Guest guest
Hi Jill- Sorry I couldn't call last night and I won't be home this evening but I will get to you. Having read posts in the past alot of people complained about pain in their back and legs and I understand it was positioningm during the surgery. I have a lingering back pain and went to my orthopedic surgeon and he says it is my sacorilliac. It started after the surgery and I still have pain every so often from it. I was told to strengthen my stomach muscles with exercise and you can always go for rehab and they will work with you on thearea. My pain is just below my waist. Yours sounds different. Try to call and speak with Gagners nurse for help with this. I never had the problem of not getting a call back with Dr. Herron or his nurse. Be strong when you call in and tell them you must speak to any of the surgeons or a nurse. That is rediculous. I hope you feel better but don't let this go.
