Guest guest
Nan~ As usual, your response is brilliant! ;-) I thought the same thing. However, the Dairy Care is an Enteric coated CAPSULE with powder in it. I'm wondering if breaking the two halves apart would be enough. Maybe the useful powder would just sit inside the capsule without being absorbed? Do you have any thoughts on that? I suppose I could break a capsule in half and drop it in a glass of water and then see if it is absorbed at all, and if so, how long it takes. Joe's idea might be the most predictable; to break the capsules open and sprinkle them on some yogurt or something. Still looking for ideas here. By the way, what does acidophillus do? I mean, how exactly is it different than lactaid? Thanks all~ gobo > You know, I am having trouble understanding some of the concerns about > malablsobtion-- if a thing needs bile to be absorbed, like fats and fat > soluable vitamins, than we are likely to have trouble since the bile doesn't > get into the act until the two intestinal limbs re-join, but if it is water > soluable, why would we have trouble with it? it should be absorbable even in > the absence of bile.
