Guest guest
The fourth anniversary of my brothers death from morbid obesity(450+ pounds) at the young age of 34 will be approaching soon....Sept 4th. Its really bothering me more this year, especially since I was given the gift he died waiting for approval to receive. I'd like to celebrate it in a significant way. Any ideas?? Guest guest
: On that day, or near it, I would recommend that you do something out of gratitude. Some ideas: Give a gift to charity in his name. Adopt a pet from the SPCA that is about to be euthanized and give it a loving home. Buy a bicycle and donate it to a child in a homeless shelter. Spend some time in a retirement home reading to someone who is lonely. Do something that celebrates life and pass the good feelings forward. Your brother is happy for you. You can use this anniversary to spread happy ripples around the world for him. One tiny act of kindness may seem insignificant, but it could make someone's day. And you never know, it could change someone's life. Maybe even yours. Best of luck with your plans. Let us know how it turns out. Guest guest
Those are wonderful suggestions Francisco. I feel that I want to do some of them myself. It is a really nice reminder. You are a really beautiful person. Guest guest
im not sure what your budget would be, but maybe you could sponser someone for a gym membership, or you work with kids right? can you have a fitness assembly? then each year you can do it the same way? Or maybe you can organize a fun run in honor of your brother, and who knows the money you can raise can go to sponser someone for bypass surgery, or other weight related needs--- Good Luck! sarah > > The fourth anniversary of my brothers death from morbid obesity > (450+ > > pounds) at the young age of 34 will be approaching soon....Sept > 4th. > > Its really bothering me more this year, especially since I was > given > > the gift he died waiting for approval to receive.
