Guest guest
Alyssa, I think this is GOOD! I'm so glad you got coconut oil and flour and pecan butter. I think you need CALORIES! So maybe in addition to the banana, pick some things that seem to work for you other than candida, and have him test for the " neutralizing " dose of VCO, ACV or whatever. Probably not the greatest idea to lose any more weight! Maybe you could try the coconut oil and your flours, maybe the pecan butter, and see if you can make some cookies or cracker-like things? Good luck, I also experimented with my theory of bananas being cancelled out by VCO. I > held a banana and some coconut oil in my hand at the same time when he > tested the yeast reflex. Guest guest
I just had my 1st visit - but all he did was a lil machine to my arm with each bag of food - have you felt better eliminating what he says??? he's testing his fungals ,yeast stuff next time but he didn't mention testing different areas - colon etc?????? anyway he hadn't heard of SCD but was nice enough to test my foods - and I'm a BIT shocked to say the least but also was just talking thru it and wonder now if I was bending my arm etc and screwing up the readings???? will concentrate and re-test next week - he may not be covered after next visit as I've used up a lot of insurance :-( but for now it said: no cows yogurt - was wondering about that and just started my 1st goat batch no pecan butter!! (my MAIN staple in all my baking) no swiss chard -fairly new to me few months now but no reactions ever GRILLED CHICKEN!!! what is that about ??? makes no sense -will try it cooked a different way to see if it's different?? and cheesecake minus honey showed ok and not ok ??? didn't realize I bought it twice - that made me wonder how true the tests were though??? ok were strawberry cooked and raw (meant to do more raw vs. cooked but couldn't - sorry Alyssa) blueberries cooked steak brazil nut butter zucc and a hardboiled egg which I can NOT tolerate but he said since I haven't had them it wouldn't show properly - so that's my update - any thoughts for replacement foods ??? i figure remove dairy for now and see but wouold you all replace stuff you don't react to???? just curious thanks eileen 20 months scd > > Went to the AK/chiro/acu today again! Guest guest
Just got my weekly acu/chiro/AK fix!! I think I'm addicted..I feel like a druggie =) Anyways, here's the food results:: Good -freeze dried bananas from TJ's -raw and cooked cabbage -frozen mangos -mammoth cheddar cheese -penzey's garlic powder Neutral -steamed carrots -microwaved carrots (a bit worse than the steamed...hmm...) -frozen peas -steamed green beans (might've been slightly good?) -steamed asparagus (I think this was leaning towards good) Bad -iron pill (whaddya know? activated my liver and colon..not good) -almond breaad (homemade; my body really does not like almonds!!) -raisins (only thing I tested that activated yeast point) -Fruitabu apricot fruit leather -spelt flour &brown rice flour (just curious..left over from GF days) He said my colon reflex was stronger than last week (good) and my yeast reflex was basically gone! So either the yeasties are lying low for a bit, or I've killed them all =) I was feeling weird unpleasant stomach nausea all week, and when I was getting acupunctured, one needle hurt much more than any I've ever had. I was like, dude, that hurt!!! And he said, " I " m not surprised, that was the nausea point. " Hah!! Way cool, yet painful =) So apparently for me, it hurts more if I need it.. He fixed my stomach though. He somehow, though acupoints and organwork type stuff, figured out that my diaphragm/stomach positioning was off, and also that my stomach was somehow jolted into producing way less HCL than usual sometime this week. He said it could be stress related, or something else. Anyways, he did this weird thing where as I'm breathing in, he sticks his fingers up under my ribs and as I'm breathing out, he pushes down like he's 'grabbing' the organ and 'pulls' it down out from under my rib cage. Sort of like a very uncomfortable massage. VERY uncomfortable. But anyways, it fixed the bad stomach reflex and my nausea was gone when I left there, so yay! =) Peace =) Alyssa 15 yo UC April 2008, dx Sept 2008 SCD June 2009 (restarted) No meds!
