It works. It grows back a little, but waaaaayyyyy less than it did with electrolysis. And actually, if you keep going in a series of six or eight or so..it really goes away.

I'm telling you girls, I used to sob as I plucked out hairs and felt like a freak. At times I shaved, although I never got that bad. I've waxed (but you have to wait for it to grow out, and I was so freaking self-conscious), and I've done electrolysis for years.

THIS is the answer. It's a God send. You have several growth cycles, so you do have to go back several times to get the new hair growth in its cycle. The hair became fine immediately...and most of it is completely gone. It is a miracle for me, and has done wonders for my self esteem. Get a qualified person to do it...and I tell you. Happy days.

Now, as far as eyebrows...I'm not sure. They can probably do the unibrow thing...but I've been blessed with wonderful eyebrows...so I haven't looked into it. Also, they may not want to get super close to the eye. I get my brows waxed occasionally...and that does the trick for a long while, for me. The hair doesn't come back very fast there.

The other thing to consider: I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, which is the reason for the hair growth in the first place. I'm hoping that as my weight gets under control (it's a vicious cycle...the PCOS makes it easy to gain weight, hard to lose...but the more weight you gain, the more out of control is the PCOS), the hair growth will diminish. But, recently, in the past few years, I've taken spirolactone, which is a very mild diuretic with androgen inhibiter. It helps slow down hair growth. I take it under the prescription of an endocrinologist at Kaiser. I was already taken the mild diuretic because I'm the fluid retention queen. So, if any of you are already taking a diuretic under prescription, check into that. CAUTION: You must not get pregnant while taking an androgen inhibitor. Studies have indicated that the sex organs of animals can be affected if the mother is being fed these androgen inhibitors while she

is pregnant. So, thou SHALT take birth control while taking these pills...or you had better NEVER be getting any. Really. You do not want a little boy who is born without a penis, or a child hermaphrodite. Not cool.
