Guest guest
Listen guys, I'm having a bit of a problem, and its scary. I've not been feeling well for a while, I'm on Imuran 150mg daily, and was doing well for a while. Here lately I feel as if my energy has been zapped to at least half. I'm able to check my current lab work here at home on my computer, so today I thought I'd check and see what my blood levels were because I had some blood drawn yesterday. What I found is rather disturbing to me, and I was wondering if anyone has had similar problems. My blood level last Friday was 33 which normal is 37 my doctor was concerned and called and told me to come in this week and have some more labs drawn. It has dropped to 30 since last Friday. What this means is I am bleeding somewhere, I'm not having stomach problems, but she's checking for occult blood which means hidden blood. Also for the first time in my life my kidney function test are elevated which means I have dehydration, and I'm drinking water continually, one glass after another. If my blood count drops to 29 I qualify for a blood transfusion. I've never heard of this with Sarc, nor of any of the medications I'm taking. Since I've been sick in 2001, I've not ever been hospitalized, not once and I've been sick and not admitted. I'm a bit scared, like all the rest of the doctors on this board they don't listen, I've been telling her for a while that I just generally felt bad, and she informed me last week that she couldn't do anything about me feeling bad. She came close to hearing a few choice words from me but I decided to bite my tongue this time.. but never again. If any of you have had problems with this please let me know, of if you've received a blood transfusion before, I'd like to talk to you, I've given blood before but I've never been the precipitant.
