Guest guest
I want to go to the DAN conference and am uncertain if I can attend. I wanted to attend the conference to hear Dr. speak. How did you like the seminar, what is informative and did she talk about supplements also. I hope she was informative. Also, any new research news. Thanks

Guest guest
I've tried every stevia brand - liquid and powder on the market and they all taste awful. The liquid isn't as bad as the powder. I also remember a post on problems with stevia in that it could contain contaminants. I've stopped using it and will try the raw cane stuff. Right now, I've been using unrefined sugar from my HFS. Guest guest
You have to use stevia with a very light touch. My kids and I used it last summer, and never knew the difference- we used the small packets, and just a little out of each packet for drinks and cereal. There is also another sugar substitute, xylitol, I don't know anything about it. You might call a health food store and ask about natural sweeteners, I believe that there's several choices. Guest guest
Dear Moya and All, Stevia (Stevia rebaudiana) The above ground portion is used (leaves) in powdered or liquid extract form. For people with candidiasis it is advised that the powder form be used as alcohol tinctures can aggravate muscle weakness and pain. One level tablespoon of stevia is as sweet or sweeter than one cup of sugar. Sometimes i want something sweet and i will put one to two drops of the liquid extract in a cup of tea or coffee...zing is it ever sweet. Its flavor remains stable when heated as in cooking. It is non caloric and is used extensively in Japanese cooking. I have searched and searched for something bad about this puppy and nothing so far. But i shall continue to keep a watchful eye. Please talk with your local health food store expert regarding stevia. This is not a recommendation to use stevia. Hasta, Herbler.
Guest guest
I have read that small amount of stevia in supplements are allowed, does anyone have experience with this? My mother wanted to try a recipe and thought it would be nice to include this, i don't know how i feel.
