Guest guest
I took a look at the nutritional info on the Glucerna shakes, and can NOT recommend them! The first problem is the source of the protein, which is 80% caseinates and 20% soy, neither of which is a good source for us. We just don't absorb it as well. When was your surgery? I agree, you probably do need more calories, but try to make them good calories. Perhaps adding some more complex carbs? There is one other thing to keep in mind. You just had major surgery. It may have been lap, and your little incisions may have healed, but that does not alter the fact that people were fiddling around in your innards with sharp instruments. It does take time for your body to recover. Feeling a bit weak and tired at this point is not unexpected! Hope that helps a bit!
