Hey guys,

Just a quick note to share something positive with you. I had to go to

the urologist today because I thought my kidney infection had returned.

Luckily it had not but he was asking about what had been going on with

me getting a diagnosis when I went to Duke. I explained to him what was

going on - no diagnosis - and he was madder than a wet hen. A

neurogenic bladder is a neurological condition for which there has to be

a cause and he was going to get a letter off to the PCP and maybe call

him, etc. He is so gentle and kind and caring. Just when you think

that all docs are jerks there is one who is kind and caring and an

advocate for you. It really lifted my mood. Well, just thought I would

share this. It was a nice change not to be treated like a mental case.

Have a good evening.

Terri

Patti,

This group is for patients. I work to keep it to patients only as that is the vision that Leanne started the group with and I think it's a good one. There are other groups associated with the Foundation, one for caregivers and a grief group for those who have lost a loved one to this disease but this one is for patients.

As to letting non-patients, like doctors etc in, that's just not what this group is for. In fact we always ask that if someone prints out a post from the board to show to their physician we ask that the names and email addresses of our members be blacked out so as to protect the privacy of our members.

Thanks!

Answer: No

This was discussed sometime back and Leanne expressed at that time the

fact that it could restrict the freedom of patients to speak freely.
