Hi, I am scheduled for an open DS done by Dr. on 6/12. I

just did a search on him on this group to see if I could find any

comments about him and came across your concerns. May I ask what you

base your statements on? My experience with him thus far as been

great, but I have been down this road before and don't want to be

blindsided, so I was hoping you could give me some insight into your

comments. I know about the MGB controversy, I was scheduled for that

on 4/11 and am starting over.

My husband and I have met with him three times and I have attended

his support group meetings. We are both very impressed with him. He

does extensive preop exams and post op follow up. He requires

lifelong follow-up office visits after any bariatric porcedure. We

will be examined in his office regularly for the first six months.

Our first visit is within two weeks of our our hospital discharge.

All follow up visits pertaining to the surgery are free for the first

year. We will be given information on our surgery to give to our

PCP's and he sends progress notes to our PCP's on how we are doing

after our office visits with him. Other patients of his love him, but

that is pretty much the norm with alot of the Docs on here and there

respective patients.

Thanks,
