Guest guest Posted April 15, 2001 Report Share Posted April 15, 2001 hi, teresa. thank you for responding to my question about the pain of having drainage tubes removed (thanks also to all the others who responded!!). there was something else in that post that caught my attention. you mentioned being awake during your endoscopy because of your partial immunity to pain meds. can you tell me what it was like to experience this procedure awake? i am due for my endoscopy tomorrow at 2:00 and am doing my best not to be nervous about it. i'm trying to see it as the final thing between me and my surgery and be joyous about it, but that would be easier if i knew a little more about what it was like to be conscious during one even though i probably won't be. thanks for your help! erika 5'2 " , 281.5#, bmi 51.5 surgery date 5.11.01 11:30 am dr. herron Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
