Guest guest
Did the MD give you an decongestant to dry up any fluid that might be behind the ear drum? That would make sense to me. I think getting into the ENT is an excellant idea. Do let them know you've got NS--and they'll have a heyday running CT's of your sinuses to see if you've got an infection that is hitting the ear canals also. This is a good thing. Sinus is another area that sarc loves, and we end up with staph aurreaus (sp) infections easily--so it wouldn't hurt to get a culture of the ear canal (eustacian tubes--YEAH, I remembered!!) and see if that is a problem. As for your eyes-- our lense sits inside a natural "baggie" and floats--to describe it easily. When they did the cataract surgery, the surgeon made a single incision in that baggie and used an emulsifier to suck hte old lense out. Then he put in the artificial lense, and you're good to go. what has happened is that the baggie has developed a "secondary" cataract--the baggie clouded up--and now he puts you in front of a laser and zaps a whole in that baggie. You'll still have the baggie holding the artificial lens-- but it has an opening front and back. Your vision is back to it's wonderful after cataract surgery state! This is a painless procedure, and takes just literally minutes. Pull out those sunglasses--it'll be a "Bright, sunshiney day!" Check out some roses or flowers on the way home-- the colors will be so beautiful and vibrant! Hang in there--get that ear thing answered, and your balance, equilibrium, etc will be so much better!
