Guest guest
I was at the doctor today for two hours, and was symmetrically poked with 6 needles. First I had to get my throat swabbed, which showed I had strep. Then I got my blood drawn to recheck my liver enzymes, which were up we think due to the L GLutamine. Then they wanted me tested for mono, so they pricked my finger. They couldn't get any blood out of it though, so they had to prick my OTHER finger. THEN since I didn't want oral antibiotics (heaven forbid!!) they gave me two shots in the butt, which made me have to waddle like a penguin through whole foods afterwards and are still sore two hours later. AND I might have to get two more on Thursday. And then they had to take my blood a second time, from my other arm, to do another mono test 'just to be sure.' And all this time I was starving with no SCD food. NOT COOL. At least I'm symmetrical. Two arms, two fingers, two butt cheeks =) I know it could've been worse, but since my butt still hurts I just felt the need to rant for a bit. Sorry for my complain-fest =) ANYWAYS I was wondering if, even though the antibiotics weren't oral, will they still kill some gut bacteria? Is there anything I should do to make this whole thing easier on my body? Like epsom baths or something? Thanks!
