Guest guest
Sorry, but you didn't mention where you are talking about having surgery at. Most of the people on this board had or will have surgery at South San Francisco, Fremont & Richmond (all Northern California). We have a few others from other surgical groups. I had my surgery in San Diego, even though I live in the Sacramento area. Kaiser does not do lapband surgery any more (I'm not sure if they ever did it). When people on this board mention Lap surgery, they mean Laparoscopic surgery (not open surgery). We do not always throw up after this surgery, I only do if I don't chew my food thoroughly. I've heard that you should wait at least a year after WLS before having a baby, and if you listen to your doctors about the right foods and vitamins to take, having a baby is usually very safe. Good luck on your research in this process. --Sandi H. > Has anyone had surgery here? I met with Dr. Q he seemed a little like a salesman to my mom. I need to have a little input? I was really set on Lapband, but now I am starting to lean towards gastric bypass, I am just afraid of thrwoing up, I am also young and would like to ahve a baby, and am worried about carrying a aby and not absorbing all the nutrients. any input would help. > > thank you
