I had the privilege of helping at the GFCFdiet table during the DAN

conference and had the opportunity to talk with a lot of parents. You may

have already done this, but I thought I would comment for other parents as

well.

In some children no results will be seen unless you are 100% GFCF. 100%

GFCF is even the tiniest bit of gluten. If you stick a knife into peanut

butter and then spread on regular bread and repeat- you may end up with

bread crumbs in your once GFCF peanut butter. If you use the same toaster

for regular/GFCF breads this could be a problem. If the gum they are chewing

is coated with flour, it is not technically an ingredient and won't be

listed (the same is true with some cereals, some raisens, etc.) and this

could be a problem. The only way to know for sure is calling the food

manufactorer.

You must go through their diets very very thoroughly and I would recommend

calling every manufactorer on any foods your child eats. While the list at

GFCF diet.com is accurate to the best of our knowledge, food manufactorers

can change products at any time and we do not know until we call to reverify

or another parent alerts us.
