Guest guest
Hi everyone! I just started dairy-free with my 2 sons, (age nearly 3 - PDD diagnosis) and (age 6, AS diagnosis) So far it is a nightmare! The first night, did not go to sleep until 10 (his normal bedtime is by 8:30), then climbed into our bed around 1am and tossed, turned, kicked, and sniffled all night long. Last night was a little better -- he went to bed early, didn't join us in bed until later and wasn't nearly as restless. But today his teacher (EI preschool) sent home another irregular timpanogram and said we should have his ears checked (again). started DF a day later and today, I had to physically get him off the bus because he was kicking, screaming and spitting hysterically (this is NOT typical bus behavior for him, although he does have occasional tantrums at home and at school). I was really hoping this DF diet was going to help and not exacerbate their problems. Is this kind of regression normal? How long do you wait before you think, " maybe this was a bad idea? " I'm sticking with it for now, but would appreciate any advice or words of wisdom. Laurie in NY
