Guest guest
I do not think we should write to - of course you can if you want - I think we should focus our efforts on those that are in positions of power - those that made the decision. Read below: Official Cure Autism Now Repsonse: I have spoken with who did not agree or endorse that storyline and was in fact distressed by the patronizing dismissal of family concerns about vaccine safety.Evidence of this is that Tony's, character, Dr.Green, did not participate in that story. The idea for the episode rests totally with Wells who is the executive producer and creator of the show and who basically gets to do what he wants. That he was influenced by his pediatrician, the American Academy of Pediatricians, the National Institute of Child Health, and vaccine manufacturers is possible and even likely but totally beyond Tony's sphere of influence. Jon Shestack Founder and Parent of an Autistic son - Dov Thank you CAN! Now I know who to direct my anger towards - JOHN WELLS - Executive Producer. Lets focus all our energy and emotion towards him. Something I found out through my inside Hollywood connections - they originally approached to play the role and deliver the speech about how there is no connection between vaccines and autism, however he refused. You will notice that his story line was not connected at all to the vaccine story line and that his character was getting screwed over - art immitating life? This episode was in development 6 months ago - and I am sure was a direct reaction to the publication of Dr Wakefield's work and the DAN conference. Remember - JOHN WELLS - I am working on my letter now. He is going to get an earful from me. Moira
Guest guest
Moira and everyone: I tend to get posts to this list very delayed because I'm on digest (I get a bunch of posts all at the same time, hours apart.) I just got the response you mentioned, and in light of that, I probably will not be writing . If I do it may just be to express disappointment in the show's handling of this issue and ask him to encourage the Powers That Be to explore the other side of the issue. (See, I'm not completely irrational...PMSy, yes...irrational, no. ;- ) ) NBC, however, will feel my wrath. > I do not think we should write to - of course you can > if you want - I think we should focus our efforts on those that are > in positions of power - those that made the decision. > > Read below: > > Official Cure Autism Now Repsonse: > > I have spoken with who did not agree or endorse that > storyline and was in fact distressed by the patronizing dismissal of > family > concerns about vaccine safety.Evidence of this is that Tony's, > character, > Dr.Green, did not participate in that story. > The idea for the episode rests totally with Wells who is the > executive > producer and creator of the show and who basically gets to do what he > wants. > That he was influenced by his pediatrician, the American Academy of > Pediatricians, the National Institute of Child Health, and vaccine > manufacturers is possible and even likely but totally beyond Tony's > sphere > of influence. > Jon Shestack > Founder and Parent of an Autistic son - Dov > > > Thank you CAN! > > Now I know who to direct my anger towards - JOHN WELLS - Executive > Producer.
