Great post, RH! You certainly know how to make the best of the

low/no-carb diet. I don't know about a South Beach web-site. The main

way that South Beach is different from the original Atkins is in the

fats it recommends. South Beach says ease up on the saturated fats,

stay away from hydrogenated fats, and use more of the better fats like

wallnut and olive an canola.

Tx, although I think that Atkins said to " try to avoid " unhealthy

foods, like processed foods and saturated fats, but didn't say " you

have to avoid them to lose weight and be healthy " .

We LOVE going to " real " barbeque joints. Even though we are near

NYC, there are a few " real " smoke house barbeque places around (as

in, guys from Tennesee who " import " real smoke houses), and you can

get the meat " naked " and use a vinegar-based (no tomatoes or sugar)

sauce.
