Guest guest
It seems incredible to me that there is health warning put out about this, and not once have I heard in the media about mercury in vaccines!!! Margaret
Guest guest
If you take the candle wick and write with it on a piece of paper and it writes then there is lead in it, if nothing happens then it's o.k. Yankee candles are safe. I think the cheaper candles would be more likely to have this.
Guest guest
Hi I am pretty sure some folks mentioned some Walmart candles and I am sure that other places sell them too. They are made in other countries, but just burning them for a short while could fill up your breathing air with enough lead to hurt poison our little kiddies. Scary huh, kelly > If you take the candle wick and write with it on a piece of paper and it > writes then there is lead in it, if nothing happens then it's o.k. Yankee > candles are safe. Guest guest
There was a segment about this on 60 minutes once. I always buy the kind I have now because I know they are safe. Make sure you check those tea light candles too.

Guest guest
I don't know if you have them in your area but I use Yankee Candles. If you are worried just try writing on paper with the wick of the candle and if it writes on the paper then you know there is lead in it otherwise it's o.k. Guest guest
Before you even light the candle try and write with it and if there is lead in it it will write faintly on a piece of paper.

What do you mean by this, taking the wick off after it's burned? Love, Becky from OR>
