My dryer sheets say " Bounce contains biodegradable cationic softeners " It

is also dye free and perfume free.

Under what criteria do you think they are a hazard to our children?

SOMEONE TELL ME WHY!!!! This is not on gfcfkids website and there is

Alice,

I can't answer your question as I was not aware myself that all dryer

sheets were a problem. I think I remember someone saying one brand was a

problem, but then I don't know what they backed it up with. I have learned

not to freak too bad when people make statements like this or that is

" no-no " , I just call and verify for myself. If I threw stuff out every time

someone here said I " think " I would most definitely go broke. We have had

this discussion over and over, and it would be nice when people say not to

use something if they would verify why, and where they got their

information. Your best bet, if you're concerned about your dryer sheets is

to call the manufacturer yourself- and then let us know what they say.

Yep, I am totally not surprised to read this. I have chemical

sensitivities and usually have to run down the detergent aisle to get

through it. I actually start to itch just walking by the laundry

detergents. Man, I could SMELL the chemicals from a mile away, not to

mention feel them on my skin. Why do they think it's okay to put all that

junk in there?

Dryer sheets are the WORST. I cannot come within 2 feet of an exposed

dryer sheet without feeling some itching or burning on my skin and face.

That is not an exaggeration. Some seem more " toxic " than others. I

cannot stand static cling, so in stupid desperation, I used to cut one

dryer sheet into about 10 thin little strips and use one strip per dryer

load (which did eliminate the static). Now I can't even tolerate that,

and have banned them from my house entirely.

Forever in cotton,

Charlene
