Hi Hanne -

I have been using Ojibwa tea with great success. We got it from the

tea lady, Kalevik, who is mentioned in Karyn Seroussi's

book. Her web site is:

http://www.ojibwatea.com/

It was one of those things that I figured couldn't hurt him so why

not try it.

Well, we started the tea one week and didn't mention it to our

therapists or my parents and independently they commented on Vico's

increased eye contact. My husband and I both had noticed it too, but

we were waiting to see if anybody else could see it. He would be

sitting at the table with us and looking very thoughtfully into our

eyes - wow.

We are continuing to give it to him and have no trouble getting it

into him at all - it doesn't taste bad at all. The reason I thought

to try it was that it was reported to be a detoxifier and that it

would also help to boost your natural immunity - all things my

darling boy needed.

Anyway - I thought it was pretty good bang for my buck. I love

looking into my boy's beautiful green eyes.

I hope that helps.

Is this the same Ojibwa tea they sell in HFS, or is it a special brew? What

kind of detox? I am curious...I have been drinking Green tea lately , which

is an antioxidant...don't know what it does, but I have become addicted to

it...TIA-Shari

Moira, (& Hanne for you, too)

We are on our fourth day of using this tea, WOW!!. I purchased it a while

back and never got around to trying it with my son, but now wish we had

started it sooner. I was hoping I wasn't just wishful thinking that it was

helping, but there's no denying that something is happening. Moira, just

like you, we are seeing great eye contact, much more awareness, imitating

words and characters actions on T.V. like never before, and generally

happier. Today, he accidentally hit his hand while playing with a toy drum

during his a.m. therapy and I could tell it hurt. He fell into my arms for

comfort, then ran to his therapist and got a hug from her, but the amazing

thing was that there was another therapist (just visiting) and I said to him

" Oh, does Jo need a hug, too? " At this point he had made it back to my arms

and he hesitated for a moment and then ran to Jo and hugged her, too!!!!!!

WOO HOO!!! He has only seen Jo about three times in his life and it was

amazing that he understood what I had said, and did it appropriately. This

was a first. I have not changed anything in his diet or any of his

supplements lately. We are in the " wait " mode for the results back on our

visit to Dr. Holmes and I thought I would see what would happen in the

meantime by adding the tea. I'm hoping this gradual " awareness " continues

and I'll be ordering more tea for sure.

I bought my tea from Kalevik at the following web site:

www.ojibwatea.com

She sent me detailed instructions about how to brew and store the tea

and also I bought an information packet that she has regarding using

this tea with autistic kids. That helped with the dosage level and

explained possible side effects - which are basically that the person

could get a little gassy - if that happens you can back off the

dosage and gradually build up again. I do that with every suppliment

I give my kid - start small and work up to full dose.

Anyway - she was incredibly helpful and even called me personally

when her email was down to answer one of my questions.

SO in answer to your question, yes, you do make the tea first and

then add it to your kids juice, or give it to him directly like I do

sometimes with a medicine plunger - it doesn't really have any taste.

I take it too and I have been feeling pretty healthy. Everyone around

me at work has had the flu and I am just fine.

Hope that helps.

Sharon & Elsie

I too am smiling from ear to ear!!!

Did you get your tea from Kalevik too? She would love to

hear about your success if you did, even if you didn't she would be

so happy to hear that the tea is helping.

Sharon I would love to hear about your success with Perfect Stool

formula - that was something I was thinking about getting.

I need to make another batch of the tea tonight. I love that

something natural can help our little folks - makes you feel good

about giving it to them, like the vitamins and cod liver oil, it's

good for their little bodies.

Congrats!

Moira,

Yes, I did get the tea from at www.ojibwa.com , and she is

incredibly helpful with any questions. I'm going to email her with what we

are seeing in just five days, and to place another order because I want to

try it, too. I'm hoping this means less chelation when we get to that point

in about a month. I really do wish I would have tried this sooner. I had

gone back and re-read Seroussi's book trying to absorb things I know I

didn't catch the first time. I kept coming back to the tea. I started my

son on this diet at about 20 months (he's now 31 mths) and I was trying to

find what I might have missed that she had done. I know every child is

different, but I think the tea might have been the detoxifier that could

have helped if he was vaccine/metal poisoned, too. One other thing I

haven't tried is the Nystatin, but I have a feeling that is next when we

receive the results back from Dr. Holmes. Just my rambling thoughts on this

for whatever it's worth. Thanks so much.

Shari,

I think talks about this on her website www.ojibwatea.com (I posted

this wrong on an earlier message, sorry). I think I remember something

about this being on there. Hope that helps.
