Hi Ann,

I was just saying that the psychologist who diagnosed Blake with autism has

diagnosed many children before us with Autism and has much experience in the

disorder. Even she failed to mention the connection. It was frustrating.

My son is almost four now. We started the diet 4 months ago. It gets a lot

easier with time. There are times I think that it would be frustrating if

these things were not something I found out until he was older. I feel for

those who learn of this later. However, there will be things we find out

about when my son is ten and will wish we had known earlier. I think that

is the way things seem to go. Many children stil do respond very well to

this diet at older ages. Please dont feel its too late. Wishes for much

progress,

Just to encourage some of you, my son started the GF diet at age 5, the CF

at age 12. He is now 18. We have had so many friends whose autistic kids

started seizures and he never has. We always figured the diet had something

to do with that. Also, he is so much better off than he would have been

because he was going downhill so fast. So a late start is so much better

than no start at all!!
