It would only be fresh if the surgery was done at the same location as

the lab.

I know in Atlanta, the hospital is at least a few blocks from the

lab, so I think there's a tiny bit of leeway. I thought the NADH

testing was interesting, as I don't recall that being done on my

muscle biopsy (I could be wrong, I'm hunting down my records), and I

seem to respond to NADH supplementation.

I also know that Atlanta sends out certain tests, so I assume those

tests don't have to be done on fresh muscle (Duke Univ. rings a bell,

as does the Mayo Clinic as places samples are sent out to).

Take care,

I could be wrong about Mayo, but thanks for confirming Duke. I

really need to get a hold of my HMM report, the last thing I remember

is *maybe* left it at a doctor's office for them to copy and return,

and maybe they never returned it (the reports are like 60 pages).

Take care,

The skin that is also taken with the biopsy in Atlanta is sent to Duke for

complex II testing. I don't remember anything going to Mayo, but I could be

wrong.

Something I would suggest is to make an extra copy of the 60 pages and keep

them as a back-up. I also keep an extra copy in the back of my notebook,

just in case.

I think the reason I didn't make a copy before is that it was bound

and I didn't want to mess it up. I should have done it of course, in

retrospect. Also, our firesafe is pretty small, barely fits single

8.5 x 11 sheets, so it didn't fit in there.

Perhaps part of me wanted to shut out the results from my mind, as

they were worse than I suspected, and several areas had no

interpretation.

Thanks,
