Guest guest
I just wanted to post something interesting about the cook ware and the plastic we use these days. I've seen on this list post 58459 and 45713 that people recommend stainless steel and iron and be carefull with plastic ( cups -spoon) If you think about it - What did your mother cook with or your grandmother? Our mothers and grandmothers used to store flour in brown paper or glass or ceramic. I have been searching for clues why my daughter 3,5 years suddenly should develop major yeast problem in her genetalia last summer and autumn. When the yeast came -the result - going down the hill- first slowly then speeding up the last two months. My daughter developed normally until last summer. She spoke English and Norwegian, met all the milestones and more. Had her MMR autumn 98- no problem. We knew she had a leaky gut, tested by Dr. Reicheldt summer 99. " One of these kids with leaky gut and no development problems " . She has been on Nutramigen since she was 4 months old. The only thing was that she didn't socialice with girls, only with boys - but we didn't pay to much attention to that. I just looked into the cook ware. ( I have been looking in to the milk theory and still are.) I'm boiling water for her milk every day.Last March I change the pot. For one year now I've been using a pot from Willeroy and Bosch (bought in the 80's),I don't really know what it is made of.( Not stainless steel.) My 10 months old get water for her formula from the same pot. Last summer we also bought a lot of plastic cups. I was tired of cleaning up broken glas from the kitchen floor ( from the oldest one). Looking back and knowing and seing what I know and see now, my oldest 6 year must have had major yeast problem since he was 1 year for sure and probably before that. Well it's back to glass and stainless steel for me, and packing the lunch in paper before putting it in the lunch box. Maybe we got kids at risk - because of cookware and plastic used in the last 80 years together with mercury fillings????? Just a thought. Ojibwa tea should be made in stainless steel. Maybe another hint. Thanks for listening. Hanne
