Guest guest
Here's a head's up for those who want to see Dr. Korson. First, he is the director of the Adult Metabolism Clinic, as well as the Pediatric Metabolism Clinic: http://www.tufts-nemc.org/home/departments/adult/multi.htm Second, dig up your records, I was told last week that they want " all " my records faxed, before a nurse will review them and then allow me to be scheduled. Since I have boxes of records, I will be sending them only the fresh muscle biopsy results, several of the abnormal lactate/pyruvate results, and my abnormal MR SPECT result (heck, maybe my abnormal cardio report too). If one doesn't have a muscle biopsy, I'd suggest gather the top five (or more) positive tests that point towards mito, and any doctor's impressions/reports that would do so. I was also told there are two doctors, Dr. Korson and a new doctor, but the new doctor is relatively new to mito (correct me if I'm wrong). I currently have misplaced my muscle biopsy report, so I have to get that resent (for $$$ unfortunately) or find it before I can schedule. When I have a bit more time, I'll be bringing out my boxes of records to check one more time for my stupid report. Take care, RH > > Alice, > > Does Dr. Korson see adults, > > Donna K

Guest guest
Hi , It has been a few years (1998) now and I'm afraid I don't remember the name of the doctor. I just know I wasn't impressed at the time and decided to try to see Dr Cohen. At that time, he was accepting patients and I feel fortunate about that. Guest guest
Hi everyone, It's been a long time since I've been here, but thought I'd give you my two cents worth: I see Dr. Korson at New England Medical Center (Boston). He is the best: personable, emphatic yet clinical, extremely knowledgable, open minded and intelectually honest. He is also very tuned into the rest of the mito medical specialists. I cannot recommend him enough for both adults and children. WvE
