I received this from my oldest daughter today and wondered if someone else

might also be interested. I am off the list right now because we have

some serious problems going down with the other two boys but hope to be back

on soon.

>>>>>>>I was watching Oprah the other day (something I usually don't have

time to

do) and saw something on there that made me think of Evan and his

" traveling "

problem. They had some devices for parents who needed kid security and

there

was this one alarm that was designed to alert you when your child went a

certain distance away, like at malls, etc. Anyway, I thought of Evan and

the

gate and how he always slips away and hits the road...

I think this was originally designed to keep track of luggage at an airport

so it wouldn't get far away. Anyway, it looks pretty small, about the size

of a big nail file but flat, and it has an attachment that you could hook to

his belt loop. You set the alarm for whatever distance you need (say 200

yards) and whenever he gets that far away from you, the alarm goes off.

I ordered it for you and it should get there in the next week or so, as the

item is in stock. I hope it works and helps you keep track of the little

guy. If you like it and it seems like it would be something some other

autistic child's parents could use, the web site is www.magellans.com and

the price is about $30, with shipping. I can't remember the exact name of

the item but that should come when you receive the order. If you wanted to

view it beforehand, check under luggage locator!

Anyway, I hope it works. Seems to me a pretty cheap solution and not too

much money down the tube if it isn't. .>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

>>>Hah! I went back on-line at magellans.com and found out the name of the

item

I'm sending is Stay Close Alarm.

Also, I went on-line to check out that other item that won't be ready until

this summer. It's at www.wherifywireless.com and th cost looks like $300

per

unit plus a monthly fee comparable to a cell phone charge. Go check them

out

on-line. If it looks like something that would work with Eva's wandering,

I'd be willing to buy it for you if you could work in the monthly charge.

I've already put myself down on the list for contact when they're ready to

begin selling the items.>>>>
