Guest guest
Hi Gang, I will have my lung biospy today, have to pass the bleed time test first, i think that will go fine. Please think of me and the drangonflies and say a pray today, hopefully this will help my team make some decisions in treatment, I did see the chemo oncologist yesterday, which was a bit premature, but he is very direct, and i like that, he could not elaborate on a plan, but did discuss plans for each case senario, which made me understand more what i would be dealing with. He isnt very hopeful on medications that would help my energy, because of the mito, but did assure me that nasuea, and vomiting meds are very good today, and if needed pain meds will be in order. He too was astonished by my age, and also is very interested in finding out what form of cancer this is and what stage, and how long its been he. I also have a cat scan again for planning on thursday and friday is my bone scan so if ya dont hear from me ya know im insanely busy. Bad news is im still losing weight no matter what i try, oncologist said they will cross that bridge when they make the team makes a plan. Well its time to head out to the hospital. I rather sit hear and chat!!!! thanks again for your thoughts and prayers! hugs, Barb

Guest guest
Just hang in there as best you can. My Grandson found (believe it or not) a couple dragonflies at ou Hypermart in Topeka. His guess was that I wanted them for one my planters on my tiny porch area so he brought two home for me. They are like the butterflies that came in plants that I received after it lost my son, . They are on a thin wire and appear to be of (silk)? At any rate I put the tinest one in the apt in a plant I received when I lost my husband. They are really pretty and I did so appreciate him taking the time out to look for them for me. You are in my thought and prayers and I have you listed on the prayer line at my church. Guest guest
Hi Barb, Please know that I am thinking of you and praying that your lung biopsy goes as smoothly as possible today. I can only imagine the fear and unsteadiness which you are experiencing right now. You must have a million things flying around in your head and so many unanswered questions. But hopefully with this biopsy you will get the much needed answers and your medical team will be able to set-up a treatment program for you. Sorry to hear that you are still losing weight no matter what you eat or what you try. It is very frustrating, I know. But I am glad that they will be addressing that when you get your team together. I also hope that your cat scan on Thursday and your bone scan on Friday go well. I will be thinking of you and keeping you in my prayers. But whatever you do, don't forget to rest as much as possible. Your body and your mind are going through so much right now, emotionally, mentally, and physically. And if anyone wants to pamper you, take them up on it, because you so deserve it.!! :-) I am here if you need me, just a phone call or email away.
