Guest guest
Ok gang, tommorrow i will have a theracscopy, they will make an insicion on my side and go through the bottom of the broncial tube and work their way up from the lung. I was hoping this would be a short procedure, but it is not, and i will stay in ICU for 24 hours with a draining tube after surgery which will also ensure that i keep breathing. They will use every precaution due to the mito, quite nervous about this one!!! Only complications are breathing failure or infection in lung after surgery which he does not foresee, but has to inform me of these things. Hopefully i will go home in a day or two. Matt is very upset that mommy will not be home right after surgery, and that he cannot visit me, but it is for the best. My older two Jes and are very worried but optimistic, im very proud of my children. My parents are worried, but still dont know everything, we are telling them little bits at a time, so not to overwhelm them. They will find out more than i'd like them to know at this point come tommorrow. But they will be told gently what is going on. I think this is harder on my family than it is on me. I guess since suffering with mito for so long now, this is just one more thing to me, Bob is doing the best he can, its really starting to hit him hard now, and im just so glad that he has stopped trying to be the strong one, adn is letting his emotions out. His mother will arrive at our home tonight, thank God she will be here to help out!!! Well i gotta go, no eating or drinking after midnight so im gonna pig out all i can now till midnight. I'm thinking of you all and all you have been through, and all the support and encouragement that you give, and it makes this all so much easier to face!! thank you all!!! Hugs, Barb
