I am happy you are in less pain, but be careful on overuse when it's

feeling better.

My husband ended up getting an arthrogram which showed a torn labrum,

but actually had no rotator cuff damage. Could they put you in a

sling or something to limit your movement for a while?

Take care,

I also am very thankful for you that there won't be a need for surgery as my

brother-in-law had to have surgery but his was a damaged Rotar Cuff. Good Luck

and God Bless, Dolores

So my Neuro sent me to an Orthopedic. I had my appt. with him last week. He

examined my shoulder and arm and took x-rays. The x-rays showed that the

ligaments that move over the rotator cuff are falling off the side. So far

they aren't torn or ruptured. Although he said that over-use or moving it

the wrong way could cause them to tear. And the muscles are inflamed which

is causing even more pain. So the only thing that he could do for me was to

give me an injection into my shoulder. It hurt a lot but since

anti-inflammatory and pain medications would not help it at all, I really

didn't have much of a choice. So I tried it.

The good news is that it did help. I got relief from the shot but once my

shoulder started to feel better I went and over did it and now it is

hurting again. (when will I ever learn??) I will call him on Monday and

set up another appointment with him and have another injection. He did say

that some people need more than one injection.

Hi Donna,

Ouch!! bone spurs hurt big time. My husband had some in the heel of his

foot and they had to be removed. He said it really hurt when they removed

them.

Did you get the bone spurs in your neck removed? I am sorry that you are

dealing with the pain of the bone spurs and the protruding disks. Do you

still have the pain from the bone spurs?

Hope things are going well for you.

Hi RH,

That is exactly what is happening....my shoulder started to feel better and

I over-used it and now I am paying the

price once again.

My Ortho told me the name of the ligaments involved but I forget the name.

I guess they could put me in a sling or somehow limit my use and movement

of the shoulder but I doubt I would follow the regimen. (bad patient) <:-|

I will call him on Monday and get another cortisone shot. But I am so glad

that the pain is less.
