Guest guest
Alice and I will be going. Since we are only going to be there for the two days when meals are provided, I would rather all sit at one table during a meal. laurie > Well – We are a few days away from the 2005 conference in St Louis. Guest guest
I really wish I were able to attend, it had been in the back of my mind until I got sick again a week ago as the last time I was in St. Louis my husband and I were on vacation and the top portion of the arch wasn't completed so that gives you some idea as how long ago that was. I have two appts Monday the Urologist at 1:00 then I have to trust Topeka Transit to get me to the Gastro appt by 2:15 to get his take on whether I will be needing a colon biopsy done? I still am able to carry my Cigna ins the rest of this year and my son said that everyone should get their fair share of the Cigna Pie and perhaps I can start my own soroity by that name and spelling. He has always tried to keep things " light not alarming " ever since my ovarian cancer surgery when he was ten and then for the next seven years whith my lumpectomies and double mastectomy. When I tell people about some of the things he comes up with I always say that " he's a mess but he makes me smile " and that's the important thing. I did finally find out from a nurse that elevated AST and ALT levels are to do with my liver. Perhaps I can give it the " old college try " next year and will be able to make the trip. Have a wonderful and safe time and I hope your flight will go well. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. These plans have only been made in the last couple of days and I’m excited to go. The trip will be challenging as all travel is challenging for me but I’m really excited and looking forward to it now. I guess I’ll feel even better when the flight issues are behind me. My own needs are to pace myself so that I can enjoy the conference. There is no way I’ll be able to attend many sessions – especially without hearing assistive technology but I will find a way to attend those sessions that are most important to me and my family. I’m now wondering how many Mitoldies will be there. We’ve always had a Mitoldies “get together” at conference and I haven’t attended a conference since Dallas. Let me know how many will be there and if you’d like to see if we can have a luncheon or something similar. Of course, everyone will need to pay for their own food but just the opportunity to sit together and socialize will be very nice. OK – your turn. Who’s going to be there and should we do some investigation looking for an appropriate place to meet? Alice -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. Guest guest
Hi Alice, So glad to hear that you will be making the Conference this year. I know you didn't make it last year, and I missed meeting you. I won't be attending this year. Alittle too far. And I am way too sick to attend this year. Sure am glad I made it last year. Hope you have a great time, and I guess we will have to meet some other time. Hugs, Ann-Marie At 10:08 AM 6/11/2005, you wrote: >I'm now wondering how many Mitoldies will be there.
