Has she really emailed you so many times?? I almost purchased the tea, had a

question, emailed her and never heard anything back at all. I am thinking

about trying it out though, so I will look into it again.

Hi Irene -

This tea is mentioned in Karyn Seroussi's book and many of us on the

list have tried it with our children. I ordered mine from

Kalevik at www.ojibwatea.com and she is a wonderful lady.

The tea is herbal and is said to be a detoxifier and to help boost

the immune system. We added the tea to our son's regime and didn't

tell anybody that we had done so. The therapists and my parents all

noticed independently that his eye contact had increased. It was

amazing - he would sit across the table from us at dinner time and

just stare into our eyes. Eventually he would break the contact, but

we had only had fleeting eye contact previously so this was a great

improvement.

This tea was one of those " it couldn't hurt " things for me. I have

been trying things with my son that are the least invasive and so far

we have had very good success.

I hope that helps.

Moira,

Did you start this after you began to see the effects of the diet? Did it

heighten the diet's effects or cause different improvements?

Sharon -

We started the tea after we had been GFCF for over 10 months. We had

already seen amazing results from being GFCF and a slow, but steady

improvement due to speech therapy and occupational therapy. The tea

was sort of an after thought in a sense. I had tucked it away in my

memory after I read the Karyn Seroussi book - which was about 3 weeks

after diagnosis - and I kind of forgot about it. I found my notes and

thought, what the heck, let's try this now. I was handling the diet

pretty well, so I thought I could add another level.

It seems to have directly impacted his eye contact. I couldn't tell

you if it has heightened the diet's effects, but I can say that he

looks at us in the eyes for much longer periods. It used to be

fleeting, now he will stare into your eyes. I trick him into

prolonged eye contact by asking him " What color are mommy's eyes? " He

will then look very long at my eyes and tell me all the colors in my

eyes - white, black, yellow, blue, green - it's pretty cool. But he

also just looks at us. Which is really cool.

I hope that helps.

Thanks for the great summary of your use of the tea. We've been on the

diet 4 months and I'm ready for the next step. We see the DAN Dr today

and I hope he will begin to chelate. I'm anxious to try the tea, but

would like to do one thing at a time, so I'll see how soon I can

implement. Thanks again, because the tea has just moved up on my list!
