Just a thought. The airlines do offer reduced rates something I

learned about when calling angel flights. Regular sized planes, but

at reduced rates for those requiring medical attention out of state.

Good for you for going! Lord bless you and give you peace. I know it

is so hard to know what to do, but at least you will know if Dr. p

recommends surgery, then it truly is the best way to go.

Hang in there!

I don't think there is one person in this group that disagrees with that

statement, . You have done an excellent job with Grace's care.

going to go to Iowa in Feb

I think my husband and I have agreed that it will be best to just go

back to Iowa in February. That is the same month we first went so I

guess it will be a 3 year follow up! Dr Frick had his secretary

email me today saying they do not accept my insurance.....so I guess

that helped make my mind up! Dr Ponseti accepted it in the past, so

I am assuming they still do. Anyone from around here planning on

making the trip next month as well? I think I will avoid angel

flights this time.........they are GREAT, I am just a BIG chicken

and get very sick flying. So considering it takes angel flights

twice as long as a reg. plane ........I think that would be easier

on me! Someone on here had mentioned they do not go further than

1000 miles. They do, however you have to make plans with two

seperated volunteers. We went from Nc to Iowa and used two

different planes so that each pilot was within the allowable amount

of miles. Just a thought if that person was still interested.

Thank you all for suggestions. It has helped me make my mind up. I

feel very bad ..........like I should have gone a long time ago.

I am glad that you are going to see Dr. P. I just wanted to say you

said that you " feel very bad...like I should have gone a long time

ago " . Let me just tell you this...you did what you thought you

should do! You have taken your child to 3 different doctors, you

have done countless hours of research, you have tried everything to

keep your daughter from having to have her feet operated on. I just

wanted to tell you that you have nothing to feel bad about! From

what I can tell you are a wonderful mother who loves her daughter

very much! Don't feel bad!! You are doing everything right!
