Guest guest
, I found the site interesting, but I am very skeptical of the information they provide. Hopefully it works for you, please keep us up on your progress. Lolita Date: Thu, 8 Mar 2001 18:55:32 -0600 Subject: Possible alternatives to chelation I know of one theory that if the pH and electrolytes are in perfect balance, that the system will be able to detoxify itself, even of metals, and that leaky gut will heal and food sensitivities will resolve. I have read some pretty amazing testimonials from people who use this method, people whose children have serious seizure disorders that have improved tremendously, one whose 5 year old autistic child began speaking within months all while drinking *milk*. It's not a guaranteed cure all on its own, therapy is still needed to restore function, but there are people out there making progress without the restrictive diets and without chelating. I guess it's one more thing to look into, to confuse you all even more, but something to be aware of. Since my son's not too bad off, just a minor yeast overgrowth, some food sensitivities, and minor sensory dysfunction, probably with celiac underlying, I'm going to try this approach first and see what happens, except always avoiding gluten of course. I'm hoping our DAN doctor will agree to monitor my son's condition while we trial this even though it goes against DAN protocol. I think I may try the colostrum and/or ojibwa tea too. The milk thing is a real shocker to me, so I'm trying it out on myself first 'cause I'm a celiac with milk sensitivity. Not exactly the same thing, but if I can drink milk and my health improves then I'll trust them. But I tell you, the testimonials are amazing. They're private emails though so I don't feel comfortable posting them. Sounds like so many of you are doing so well with the DAN protocol, but if anyone's interested in a different approach too, there are 2 websites to look at, an old one with a few short research papers on it at www.lifebalances.com and a new one which doesn't have much information on it yet at www.chembalance.com. Too bad they don't have any testimonials posted, they are truly amazing.
