Guest guest
Sunny I take a beta blocker (Atenerol). They tried to take me off of it and I had chest heaviness so it will being staying around at a low dose. I also take an ACE inhibitor. This is the one that both my neurologiest and nephologist want me on. I take Accupril. I have had some tiredness when starting them, but don't have any side effects. My heart rate bounces all around. I'm guessing mine is due to dysautonomia. laurie > > > Sorry, forgot to mention I had HBP when I was 18 and 19, and it > resolved through dietary changes. Guest guest
RH Thank you for the diet suggestion. I am pretty vigilant about salt. Also, I should make it clear, I have been to several cardiologists. Just can't get clear answers from them. Not clear enough for me, anyway. And they would be willing to try any of the BP meds within reason, I am sure. I am looking to see if there is a med that has worked well, or a med that has disagreed with people here. Presently I am on Norvasc,(calcium channel blocker) and my pulse is quite high even at rest. Thanks again. Laurie, Thanks for the info. I will check them out. Interesting that your pulse bounces around. It is my belief (although I am still trying to figure it out) that the BP meds also have an effect on pulse. More to think about. Thanks again!! Guest guest
Sunny, I also take Atenolol for my heart rate. I go off of it every so often, but my heart starts the palpitations again, so the doctor puts me back on it. It doesn't completely stop the heart from racing every no and then, but it cuts down on the frequency and how fast the heart races. My mother, whom I suspect has a mild case of mito, is on Inderal (spelling? I'm not sure if it is with an E or and I). This is a blood pressure mediation, but she is on it for her migraines and it works great for those. She does not have high blood pressure and the rest of her siblings do, so I am think it is helping with that as well. Smiles, a > > > > > > > > > > > Hello everyone > > > > > > > > I need some help. Guest guest
Thank you, a! A slower heart rate would surely be nice. Regards Sunny > Sunny, > I also take Atenolol for my heart rate.
