Guest guest
Janet I have one on file at the hospital, one at home in a file marked emergency info (but not on the door which is a good idea) and each of my sons has a copy. I have a list of meds in my wallet and my medic alert cards plus bracelet. You can put living will information with medic alert as well. laurie > > I also heard that you should keep some kind of instructions in your wallet, > or in your glove compartment. Guest guest
that is the best idea yet about instructions. Your wallet or glove compartment would be the first place emergency personnel would look. Guest guest
Do you like medic alert? I have a necklace from walgreens but need to get it changed as the address and phone on it are incorrect. Right now all I can fit on it are no ringers lactate and Dr Tick and Dr Roth phone numbers. I was just wondering if you like them or not. Guest guest
Janet I like my medic alert. Since it is hard to put much on the necklace or bracelet (I have had a bracelet for years), I like being able to have the phone number that can be called for additional information. My name doesn't even have to be known for a hospital to get what info they need. There are some medical people who don''t know anything about them. I had a lab tech on Sat ask me what it was. The ER people seem to know about them and that you usually have a card in your wallet. I have labinated the cards so the print doesn't get rubbed off. laurie > > > > > > I agree with Laurie. Guest guest
Janet, By any chance is the Dr. Roth you mentioned, Dr. Karl Roth. saw him several times when he was at MCV in Virginia. Thanks, Shelby > > Do you like medic alert? I have a necklace from walgreens but need to > get it changed as the address and phone on it are incorrect. Guest guest
thanks Laurie. We disconnected the phone number that is listed on mine for my address in September so better get a new one. Guest guest
Shelby, No, but close. My pcp is Dr Karla Roth and she is at Prevea clinic in Green Bay. I found her in 1997 after the doctor I was with at the clinic refused to work with Dr Tick in Milwaukee and had an arrogant attitude. She is great--admits when she does not know something but also has a chemistry background she says helps her understand the melas better. Guest guest
Janet, Isn't it nice to have someone who is willing to work with you? I've run across quite a few arrogant doctors in trying to get help for . We have a neurologist who is willing to work with us. is a tough case. Shelby > > Shelby, > > No, but close. Guest guest
Yes, She is great. When my insurance, TRICARE, did not have her listed on their network this summer I paniked. Her group although it is a very big clinic in Green Bay is not in network like the other big group. But, thankfully that just means we pay 25% of the TRICARE approved amount instead of 20%. We do not have to pay the whole bill and they do write off the amount of charges above the TRICARE approved amount. This is good because the TRICARE approved amount equals about the same as MEDICARE, very little.
