Hi Tamara,

From what I understand, probiotic is the general term to describe all the

good bacteria, some specific types being acidophilus and bifidus. ProBioGold

would be a brand name. I don't know the brand, but the label would tell you

specifically what types of probiotics are included. Bifidus is primarily

given to kids under the age of 5. Hope my limited knowledge helps!

Hi, all-

I have a similar question: I'm planning to give my little guy a

probiotic when I start him on Flagyl (the GI doc found a bad bug in

his stools), and I'm not sure what the differences are between the

brands and types. I read the Kirkman's website, but they all sounded

good. Any ideas on what might be helpful to a 3-year-old in this

case?

Thanks!

Sue
