Hello. My name is , and I am a researcher at the University

of Oklahoma who is conducting research on Internet support groups.

Our research team is interested in understanding how people

communicate in on-line support groups, such as Mitoldies, and we are

seeking participants for an on-line survey. The survey takes about

15 minutes to complete, and your responses will be confidential. You

must be at least 18 years old to participate.

Spending a little time on the list is probably the best way to see how

we offer support to another. We answer questions from our own

experience, not as part of the medical profession. We ask questions

and sometimes get various opinions. We share the places we have found

suppliments for those who are having trouble finding what they need.

The most important thing is letting others know that they are not

alone and that we care about them. This offered in the form of words

on the list and sometimes with cards or notes of concern when someone

is in the hospital and we have permission to post an address.

We are like a very large extended family and look forward to the UMDF

conference each year in hopes of meeting face to face.
