Guest guest
Hi & other listfolk, Just wondering when the FJF chose to conduct their pre and post test of pesticide knowledge (respective to the prevention program) as we are debating timelines for testing another prevention program in our agency. Or if other agencies have done pre and post testing, also interested as to when were performed. I know research results are stronger farther out (weeks-months) after a program has ended, but we were thinking of testing days later, to catch folks while still around. Thanks! Generally, the state agency is the state department of agriculture. This is the case in Texas (Texas Department of Agriculture). In California, it is the California Department of Pesticide Regulation; in Florida the Florida department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. For a list of the state agencies in each state, email Keaney of the EPA (keaney.kevin@...). The Farmworker Justice Fund does pesticide training for farmworkers -- and we ahve a curriculum which we are happy to share. We have also done pre- and post- tests on farmworkers' knowledge. In addition, Bauer worked on an occupational health quesionaire which includes pesticides.
