Hi Laurie,

Sorry to hear that your brother has follicular lymphoma. I would imagine that

if it is produced by a protein in the mitochondrial membrane as you say then it

is probably related in some way.

What are the signs or symptoms of follicular lymphoma? Is he in pain? From the

sounds of your email I guess your brother has never been tested or had a muscle

biopsy to determine if he has Mito, is he in denial?

Hope he feels better soon. Btw, how is your retirement going? I hope you are

catching up on your sleep.

Hugs,

Ann-Marie

Hi

I was wondering if anyone has heard of those with mito getting follicular

lymphoma? My brother (who more than likely has mito) has this. Since it is

caused by a protein produced in the mitochondrial membrane, I was wondering

if there might be a relationship.

Thanks,

laurie

My brother has not been tested. It is more a problem with his wife than with

him as far as testing goes.

His has been caught very early and they aren't going to treat unless it

spreads to other organs or he begins having symptoms. Right now, he has no

symptoms and it was found by accident.

Retirement is great. I still have to get up for the workmen, but not nearly

as early. I'm guessing that they won't be around much for awhile. The tile

is down, but I have to pick out new cabinets tomorrow. The company that

ordered the ones already picked out is having financial problems. My

contractor is taking money from his own pocket to cover what I have already

paid on the cabinets, but it does mean a 3-4 week wait for the new cabinets.

They hooked up my washer and dryer today - yaaahhh!! Once we get the room

all painted, they will bring the stove and refrigerator in from the garage

so I can use them.

Thanks for asking.
